Description

Steel 90° Internal Corner – Ø130, RAL 7016, RAL 9005 & Aluzinc

The internal corner carries the gutter around a right angle where the building turns inwards – an L-shaped plan, a recessed entrance, or the junction where a projecting wing meets the main roof. The angle is pressed in, so the turn goes together without mitring and sealing two cut gutter ends by hand.

Internal corners matter more than their size suggests. They sit where two roof planes drain towards the same point, so more water passes through them than through most of the run, and they are usually in the tightest, most awkward position to work in. A pre-formed fitting removes the one joint on a roof that is hardest to cut accurately and most likely to leak if it is not.

The corner is pressed from the same coated steel as the gutter and finished to match, so the line stays continuous as it turns into the recess.

What this corner works with

This fitting suits Ø130 half-round steel gutter. The corner forms a joint at each end, so it needs a connector on both sides to join it to the adjoining gutter lengths. A complete eaves run generally needs:

  • Steel gutter, Ø130, 3 m – the runs themselves
  • Gutter connectors – two per corner, plus one at every joint between lengths
  • Gutter brackets – fixed to the fascia, with one close to each side of the corner
  • Stop end caps – to close the run where it terminates
  • 90° external corner – where the building plan turns outwards instead
  • Gutter funnel Ø130/90 – where water leaves the gutter and drops into the downpipe
  • Ø90 downpipe, elbows, connectors and pipe brackets – this gutter is part of the 130/90 system

How many do you need?

One internal corner for each inward angle on the roof plan. A straightforward rectangular house has none; an L-shaped plan or one with a recessed section will need them wherever the eaves turn into the building rather than around it. Count external corners separately. Send us a sketch of your roof plan and we will work out the quantities for you.
