Downpipe Insulation – Hidden Gutter System (SRU)

This insulation sleeve wraps the downpipe where it is routed inside the building façade, cutting the thermal bridge that an uninsulated pipe would otherwise create through the wall build-up. Running rainwater is colder than the surrounding structure for much of the year, and a bare pipe buried in the wall draws heat out of it – the insulation breaks that path and keeps the surrounding fabric performing as designed.

It is shaped to sit around the SRU downpipe and to tie neatly into the rest of the house insulation, so the wall can be finished as one continuous layer with no awkward gaps or cold spots left around the pipe. Each section stands 1000 mm high, allowing the run to be built up piece by piece to the required height as the façade goes on.
