WDD Self-Drilling Roofing Screw – TORX-20, Steel Sheet to Timber

The WDD is a 4,8 x 35 mm self-drilling screw for fastening profiled steel sheet, metal roofing tiles and flat sheet onto solid timber. Its self-drilling tip cuts through plate up to 2 mm without a pilot hole and threads directly into the wood beneath, keeping fixing times short across large roof and wall areas.

Unlike hex-head roofing screws, the WDD uses a low-profile fillister head with a TORX-20 drive. The head conforms to the surface of the fixed sheet for a neat, discreet finish, while the T20 socket resists cam-out and drives cleanly with a cordless tool. A bonded EPDM washer seals the perforation and protects the joint against corrosion, and the electro-galvanised base coating carries a zinc layer of at least 12 µm. The screw is covered by European Technical Assessment ETA-16/0443.

Heads can be lacquered to the RAL palette with a UV-resistant coating that matches the fixed sheet and adds a further layer of corrosion protection. Available shades:
