WSBP Self-Drilling Stitching Screw – Lap Joints in Steel Sheet, 4,8 mm

The WSBP is a short self-drilling screw made for stitching steel sheets together where they overlap. It is the standard fixing for closing side laps in profiled sheeting, joining metal roof tile panels along their overlaps and securing flashings, with a drilling capacity of up to 2,5 mm and no need to pre-drill. Available in 16, 19 and 25 mm lengths, it suits steel substrates up to 3 mm.

The hex head raises pull-through resistance at the joint and also allows steel-to-timber use where required, while the bonded EPDM washer seals the perforation and shields the connection from corrosion. Underneath, an electro-galvanised finish carries a zinc layer of at least 12 µm. The screw is covered by European Technical Assessment ETA-16/0443 and holds a hygienic certificate.

Colour options

Heads can be finished to the RAL palette with a UV-resistant coating matched to the sheet, adding a further barrier against corrosion. Available shades:

Plain zinc-plated versions are stocked alongside the painted range. The RAL number closes the product code – for example, oxide red in 19 mm is WSBP-48019-3009.
