Galvanised Steel Finishes

Galvanizing, our priciest steel finish, involves coating steel with zinc by dipping it in molten zinc. As it cools, a reaction forms zinc carbonate, protecting the steel via two methods: Barrier Protection, where the zinc layer blocks atmospheric exposure, and Sacrificial Protection, where zinc corrodes first due to its higher electronegativity, shielding the steel. Essential for external or damp conditions like outdoor structures or moist walls, this finish boosts steel’s durability and corrosion resistance.
