Starting Board Standard – 2m

The Starting Board Standard – 2m, also known as a kick board or starter flashing, is a formed metal trim designed to provide a neat and secure starting point at the bottom of a wall-cladding installation.

Installed along the base of the wall before the cladding panels are fitted, it helps support the lower panel edge and maintain straight, consistent alignment across the elevation. The formed profile also covers exposed edges and creates a clean transition between the cladding and the lower part of the building.

When correctly installed, the Starting Board helps protect the bottom edge of the cladding from rainwater splash, dirt, debris and general weather exposure. It also conceals cut panel edges, small gaps and fixings, contributing to a tidy and professionally finished appearance.

Supplied in a standard 2-metre length, individual sections can be trimmed or overlapped during installation to suit the dimensions of the building. It is available in colours and protective coatings designed to coordinate with compatible wall-cladding panels.

The Starting Board Standard is suitable for commercial, industrial, agricultural and domestic cladding projects, including both new installations and refurbishment work.
