A rough-sawn, preservative-treated softwood batten manufactured to the standard specification used across the UK construction and roofing industries.
Dimensions The 25 x 38mm profile refers to a thickness of 25mm and a width of 38mm — approximately 1″ x 1½” in imperial terms. These are nominal sawn sizes, so the batten has a rough-sawn finish rather than a smooth, planed surface.
Treatment and grading Type A designation confirms the batten is pressure-treated with preservative for protection against rot and insect attack, making it suitable for use in roofing applications where durability is essential.
